Vegetable Frosting in Mountain Province Philippines

Atok Municipality, Benguet – Vegetable are frosting due to low temperatures at night till early morning, known locally as “andap”

“Andap” is the formation of ice crystals on plants. It can leave affected crops wilted as the sun melts the frozen moisture.

Affected vegetables farms are in barangay Paoay, Atok, and Madaymen in Benguet province.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) has assured that vegetable supply in Metro Manila is stable amidst the recent incident of frosting of vegetables in Benguet province.

OFW Burned and Beaten by her husband

After working in Bahrain for two years as an OFW, 29-year-old “Carol” a mother of two children returned home last December to be with her family.

Unknowingly, her husband was unfaithful to their marriage, and had squandered her hard earned money and savings that she sent while working in the Middle East.

They civilly agreed to separate and sell the property they owned, but in New Year 2015 another traumatic event happened to her in the hands of her husband.

Black Nazarene Procession Death from One to Two Devotees Died

Renato Gurion, 44, of Sampaloc Manila a member of the Hijos del Nazareno died during the procession of the Black Nazarene at Quirino Grandstand this morning.

Gurion having trouble breathing

Gurion suffered a heart attack after being crushed against the carriage by other devotees wanting to lay their hands and kiss the Black Nazarene Cross.

The man died after being crushed by the crowd as Black Nazarene carriage arrived at the Quapo Church.
